Key Topics (at concept stage)

To enhance the representation, mainstreaming and governance support for biodiversity conservation in Western China through provincial-based BSAPs. • Expected Outcomes (INCOMPLETE DRAFT):  (i) national & provincial stratified TEEB methodology developed and tested in the 12 provinces (suggested to develop a stratified methodology combining UNEPs TEEB with IEA approach); (ii) Provincial Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans drawn up for provinces in Western China with strong focus on the economics and mainstreaming of BD in production sectors, as well as sound representation of BD hotspots in the conservation network system ; (iii) establishment of a biodiversity conservation and monitoring information system for Western China to support the biodiversity management of GoC; and (iv) policy studies conducted and finding incorporated in BSAPs on biodiversity conservation adapting to climate change in the BD hotspots of Western China
